KE Wilson Art
Roaming across paddocks and along dirt tracks, as a child I was always in contact with nature, immersed in the sensory experience of place. To get anywhere we had to travel through the landscape – bouncing around on the back seat of the Kingswood I would be peering out the window, eating up the magic of ever-changing scenes. Being female on a farming property meant seeing through a particular lens.
Without access to metropolitan art schools, or even art as a subject at school, I am largely self-taught. Living with a condition that limits my physical capacity and ability to travel, engaging with art helps expand my world.
Colour and semi-abstracted forms invite the viewer to respond. My artworks have been referred to as 'dreamlike,' 'peaceful,' 'evocative,' and 'enticing.' In depicting the natural world, I aim to highlight its intrinsic value, its inherent worth.Selected works below for sale, click image for sizing and price.
